Prevent Plagiarism day
Our Library will be urging you to ‘be original’ on the occasion of World Prevent Plagiarism day, the only day dedicated to preventing theft of your proprietary string of words! Before the dawn of computers, plagiarizing took skill. Hence, we would love to conduct several activities on plagiarism and Academic honesty Week from Tuesday 19 February to Friday 22nd February.
During the week, there will be wall posters and workshops to improve your understanding of plagiarism and help make your work your own otherwise it might be a real pain or problem.
All student might not be aware of the severe consequences of plagiarism. The main question, Plagiarism involves taking someone else’s work and presenting it as your own. If your piece of work contains plagiarism, be ready to face the consequences presented in the IBO Academic Honesty Handbook. This is often done by mistake and Plagiarism Awareness Week will help you understand what it is and how to avoid it.
