Literary Theater Club
Literature and theater club is a platform for the budding writers, orators and actors. The goal of the club is to ensure that every member is equipped with the necessary skills to enable them to excel in drama, writing or debate. This also involves the skills for script-writing, stage craft, the play production process and public speaking.
Words are powerful than swords. The ability to understand and use words appropriately gives one the power, confidence and knowledge to face challenges. Literature is not restricted to language and cannot be confined to any educational curriculum. Drama empowers the individual, aiding them in the understanding of; body language, facial expressions, gestures, proximity etc. all of which are the significance of communication.
Theater has long been looked at as a laboratory in which we can study the problems that confront society and attempt to solve those problems. Theater teaches us about ourselves. Doing the theatre and watching the theater teaches us about people, places, and ideas to which we would not otherwise be exposed.
This club aims at promoting drama as a form of art and boosting students’ English proficiency through drama activities. They help students to get comfortable, warmed up, and focused.
